Legends of Marithia Paperback and Marithipedia

Legends of Marithia Paperback and Marithipedia

Good evening to all marithian readers and fantasy lovers alike :)

It brings me great pleasure to announce that the paperback of Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising is released and available for purchase. I have made some special touches to darkness rising and look forward to everyone’s thoughts on the next instalment of the Legends of Marithia series.

Also, I am beginning to build “Marithipedia”, which will be an online reader’s guide to Marithia, it’s characters, history, etc. You will see it begin to be built on this very website and I encourage any reader to be able to provide feedback, requests, input, etc on any aspect of my worlds. If there’s something you are burning to ask me to expand on or write about, let me know.

Keep your eyes peeled and I look forward to providing more content, building up Marithia as it stands before Book 3 begins to be formally plotted, and then it will be time to pen the third instalment. Marithipedia will be updated as I go along, and you will be able to see the additions here “live”.

I will do my best to leave out any “spoiler” information.

Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising Released!

Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising Released!

It has been almost exactly two years since I published Legends of Marithia : Prophecies Awakening, and many of you may have noticed me fly off the radar on my blog as well as on other forums, etc. It has been a hectic two years with a lot happening, but finally…

Book 2 in the Legends of Marithia series is released!

You would have seen me post a preview and the cover of Darkness Rising:

Currently, I am awaiting the proof copies for the print version to be available on Amazon, but it is now available on Kindle, and also on Smashwords on all major eBook formats and DRM free for those who wish to use between multiple devices and they have longer previews than what I have on my website.

This time, I opted to publish my book myself and cut out the publisher, which will result in lower prices for you, the reader.

My first book was priced at a list of $7 for ebook by the publisher… I have listed Legends 2 for $2.99USD, which is considerably lower, and is a larger book. Enjoy :)

The book is also listed on Goodreads in Kindle format for anyone wishing to add it.

I appreciate all of the support from readers of Legends of Marithia: Prophecies Awakening, and the proofreaders who spent a lot of time on many versions of the book.

Enjoy the second instalment in the journey, I look you all taking the journey deeper into Marithia.

Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising (Book 2) – Cover and update

Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising (Book 2) – Cover and update

Greetings to all my readers :)

This is a generally short update to share the new cover of Legends of Marithia: Darkness Rising (Book 2) and to let you all know that I am targeting a release by the end of this year. The cover was designed by Claudia Mckinney of Phatpuppy Art and I encourage all of you to check out her amazing work.

Feel free to take a guess as to what character is on the cover of Darkness Rising, but if you look closely… there is a very clear giveaway as to who it is.

The book is shaping up very nicely and it is definitely a case of “watch this space.” I appreciate everyone’s patience as it has been almost 2 years since Prophecies Awakening had been published.

This time around, I have not posted a public preview of Darkness Rising, but will make the first chapter available once I have published it.

The cover preview is below, enjoy.

My Author Interview with Babble and Books

My Author Interview with Babble and Books

I have had the pleasure of being interviewed by Courtney at Babble and Books about writing, my first book (Legends of Marithia: Prophecies Awakening) and more.

Preview Below

I recently interviewed Fantasy writer Peter Koevari, Peter is an australian author of Legends of Marithia the first in a series of fantasy books. The Legends of Marithia was released in the USA and has had great success. I had the pleasure of asking Peter all about himself and his experiences with writing, I hope you enjoy the interview.

First of all, tell us a little bit about yourself?

I was brought into this world in Hungary, Europe and my parents immigrated into Australia when I was 6 years of age. My upbringing involved a lot of time playing video games, writing short stories, watching countless movies, and loving English classes in high school. I used to daydream a lot in classes that didn’t interest me and would take myself to places far in the depths of my imagination. I have a career in IT, love spending time with my family, love music, play guitar, enjoy blogging and love bringing the worlds in my imagination to life through writing.

You’re a writer of Fantasy novels, what drew you to that genre?

There is something fascinating about fantasy which makes me feel as if anything is possible. Rules that we know in the real world can be bent or broken and we meet creatures and elements that we would otherwise never know. I have fond memories of watching Star Wars, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Back to the Future, and countless movies that sent my imagination wild. I tried writing many genres when I was younger and attempted everything including mysteries, action, erotica, and fantasy. Out of everything I wrote, fantasy was the only genre that flowed out of me onto the pages and I loved returning to. I knew for the past 10 years that I had many worlds of fantasy within me and I wanted to share my stories with the world.

Legends of Marithia Sequel

Legends of Marithia Sequel

It has been quite a while since i’ve updated you all, but I can assure you that I am busy writing the sequel to Legends of Marithia: Prophecies Awakening.

After the release of my first book, I ran a competition for a signed copy of the book. A reader submitted character for the sequel, which has now been written in.

Here’s a sneak peak of the new character, taken straight from my rough, unedited first draft in writing:

Anakari

“Anakari was only 16 years of age, which was relatively young by any Marithian’s standards for a wizard. She was elven, and her unique features made it hard for her to fit in at a small village on the outskirts of Marithia. Many human boys had taken an interest in her, but it was magic that she longed for… not a family.

She was tall with a slender, unblemished body. Her hair was pale yellow, almost silver and drew envy from the girls that knew her. There were two other distinguishable features that drew stares from anyone who met her. Her sapphire coloured eyes were like well placed jewels on her pretty face, but was contrasted by a tattoo of a crescent moon on her forehead, a symbol of her occupation and apprenticeship to her human master wizard, Aldorus.

Kari, as most people called her, has no blood family that she knows of. Aldorus found her abandoned and starving when she was no more than a year old. Raising her as if she was his own daughter, Aldorus took her into his home and discovered that she had quite a talent for magic. When she was of age, he apprenticed her into the arts.” – Legends of Marithia: (Book 2) excerpt, subject to copyrights
